West Australian Premier Hon. Mark McGowan was briefed in late April of the position of Lottery Retailers and their feelings toward Lotterywest and its management in particular. The Lotter Retailers have lost confidence in Lottery west and its ability to management, and its lack of action toward addressing the retailers concerns. Premier Mark McGowan and the Minister for Small Business have understood the complaints of the retailers and are currently looking for solutions of how to mend the relationship between them and Lotterywest.
- The McGowan government did really well with handling the situation properly
- The people showed empathy and concern for retailers who own small businesses
- A long list of issues were jotted down and the government is sure to do whatever they can to fix those issues and make the business better
“Over the last two years the relationship between lottery retailers and Lotterywest has been significantly challenged. Retailers and the representative body, the Australian Lottery and Newsagents’ Association (ALNA), have lost confidence in the management of Lotterywest and are disappointed by its lack of action to suitably address retailers’ concerns.”
