Will any road do? That is what global alliance of independent accounts and business consultants asked business owners in Australia.
Apparently, the answer is yes. Nearly 90% of the businesses have no clear vision, received returns of less than 5%, while over half with some type of plan with a vision, even if vague, received returns of more than 5%.
Many business owners didn’t know where to begin or found no value in planning, others were unwilling to invest the time, and the remaining group considered it too daunting.
Three basic can components can help business owners successfully get the job done. First, they must be unhappy with the current state of their business, thereby, creating a willingness to change. Next, they need to clarify where they want to take the business, by creating that vision. And, finally, they need to plan the next move with someone holding them accountable.
