A recent discussion was broadcast in Australia, by the Radio National network, concerning work and what the future holds for work. Part of the Vivid Festival conference, the discussion centered around occupational health and safety. Commentators spoke about how to balance life outside of work with time on the job as a way to empower employees. Allowing workers to organize their own tasks and job duties flexibly is often very much desired by them. The broadcast made the point that health and safety concerns must remain part of such decisions however.
