While politicians may talk about reducing business regulations, and helping to spur job creation, they are all missing the elephant in the room, which is payroll taxes in Australia. The country dishes out over $22 Billion in payroll taxes annually. The taxes are annoying for all employers but especially those who operate in multiple states as they can be hit with various regulations. Overall this is not only bad for employers, abut also for their potential employees, as unemployment rates remain high.
