What Gen Z and other workers want from the work environment

81% of Gen Z workers prefer open floor plans over privacy-focused floor plans for the office environment. Collaboration is a key component to success. However, distractions can still take place. Nearly all employees surveyed by Plantronics stated they were distracted at work. 29% say they are distracted very often. Half said distractions make it difficult to hear on the phone or have conversations. While almost all were frustrated at least part of the time during phone calls or video conferences. Gen Z is bringing millions of workers to the workforce. They have a very different working style than previous generations.
