Employees’ perceptions of feeling useful have been found to be strong indicators of employee satisfaction; without this quality, employees may look to change jobs. Other contributing factors include perceived optimism in the workplace, workers’ feelings of being appreciated, and the frequency and amount of disruption caused by change (as change increases, so does employee dissatisfaction). PDT conducted this Wellness in the Workplace survey of Australian workers. The results have been used to create new employee wellness programs to counteract the negative effects of change and feeling undervalued.
