Trying to encourage startup community, StartCon in Australia decided to host the first ever Australasian Startup Awards. The event was a huge success with over 3100 attendees! They was over 200 nominees for the 14 categories, but Mental Health startup Uprise won the competition overall. The event will speak to startup companies and entrepreneurs alike, and drive this community to do even more in the years to come. StartCon is expecting bigger turn outs at the Grand Finale in March of 2017.
