As Amazon begins to enter the Australian market there are differed opinions amongst small business enterprises. A slight majority (27 percent) of the SME’s believe that the Amazon competition will have adverse effects on their market. While a close minority of (26 percent) SME’s believe that this competition from overseas companies will be beneficial. Despite differences of opinion there is one general census that is shared by a vast majority (57 percent) of SEM’s believe that they will have to innovate in some way to remain relevant in the market when competing with the likes of Amazon.
