Ransomware attacks stopping SMEs in their tracks

Ransomware has become a large problem due to the unique nature of these attacks. Where as a traditional kidnapping involves someone being physically held, the ‘hostage’ here stays in the office. The pressing need to pay a demand of a thousand dollars can outweigh trying to resolve the issue. Time is money and sitting there trying to undo the attack on your own could cost more. This attack is harder on smaller businesses who do not have the funds to wait and solve the issue.
