Australia’s government has recently changed regulations covering how it handles payments to small and medium businesses. The new rules require all departments of the government must make payment on completed contracts within twenty days. A number of small business federations and associations, including those representing recruiting and staffing entrepreneurs, are cheering the change. Cashflow is king for any business, but it’s especially critical for smaller companies that don’t have deep pockets to cover delays in getting the income off their incoming ledgers and into their bank accounts.
