New QLD law to ban plastic bags

Effective July 1st, 2018 a new QLA law goes into effect that bans the use of plastic bags and plastic containers. Specifically single use plastic bags will be part of the ban. Earn ten cents for turning in your plastic drink containers. By passing the bill The Queensland Government adds value and seeks to preserve the local marine life. Queensland Environmental Minister Steven Miles states he wants a litter free marine life and water ways including the Great Barrier Reef.
