A new initiative launched by The Kroger Company is aiming to eliminate waste internally within the company and to eliminate hunger in any community where the company operates. Even more impressive, the aim is to achieve these twin goals within the next eight years. The grocery giant plans to develop the Zero Hunger, Zero Waste initiative with help from the environmental group, World Wildlife Fund, and the nonprofit Feeding America. In addition, The Kroger Company is issuing an open invitation for any concerned party who wants to offer up ideas on how to reach these venerable goals.
