More and more people are working from home, which provides both convenience and new security questions. When employees work from home, they lack the benefits of the company’s IT and cybersecurity systems, possibly exposing company data to greater risk. In order to protect data outside the workplace, companies should keep a careful eye on external devices that remote employees are using to connect to their networks, require their employees to use strong passwords, and install a corporate VPN on all their company laptops and other portable devices.
