Innovative and unique ideas are presented to help business owners bring more customers into their shops via use of gift cards. Some of the concepts described include giving gift cards to charities in place of monetary donations, offering discounts for large gift card purchases, or provided small gift card incentives when purchasing large gift cards. In this case, a person who buys a large gift card as a present, can also expect to receive a small gift card for themselves and will then be encouraged to make a second visit to the store to shop for themselves. The author also notes that nearly 3/4 of customers will spend more than the value of their gift card during store visits.
