Dubai retailers warned; raise school stationery prices and pay fines

September 12, 2016 By James L Leave a Comment

Some retailers in Dubai have fallen into the habit of jacking up prices on stationary during the back-to-school rush. The Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in the Department of Economic Development (DED) has warned Dubai retailers to not raise the price of stationary. CCCP officials will conduct an investigation to ensure that all retailers have reasonable prices and address customer concerns. Violations will incur fines, and officials ask customers to report suspiciously high prices.
