In an effort to bring greater convenience and modern technological innovation to consumers, 7-Eleven will introduce brand new features to its concept store in Seoul, South Korea. Among the technological improvements installed are biometric POS (i.e. Point of Sale) technology which scans for physical attributes unique to each customer such as palm veins in this case. Additional features will include advanced laser scanners that detect and calculate bar codes and prices as well as automated doors that detect when a customer approaches.
