Ombudsman backs Vulnerable Workers Bill

Fair Work Ombudsman is working tirelessly to get laws passed that give harsher penalties to companies that have exploitative practices happening. Several incidents have been brought to light that have detailed the disgusting actions of some employers blatantly exploiting their employees. The 7-Eleven scandal in Australia was a big tipping point in favor of the bills Ombudsman has been working on passing. The bill calls for a massive increase in the current penalties for breaking these laws.
