Retail theft and fraud can occur at the POS. An attentive cashier is essential to stop this fraud. A new trick used by shoplifters, and even by dishonest cashiers helping their friends, is the banana trick. Barc codes from less expensive items are place on more expensive items in hopes of getting the lower price. The only way to catch this is an attentive, honest cashier or a good camera system.
