R-E-S-P-E-C-T does not equal wage equality

Studies show that female employees are more likely than male employees to show respect for their boss. Despite this respect, other studies show that female employees are more likely to be paid less than their male co-workers. Awarding raises and promotions on the basis of experience, merit, and employee contributions are common, but it’s important to consider gender differences as well.
