Allegations have been made that Murray Goulburn, the largest milk processor in Australia, has misled dairy farms with its pricing for milk products. It is alleged that the misrepresentations made by the milk processor negatively impacted the farmers who made business decisions based upon the pricing stated by Murray Goulburn. The matter is being investigated by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission who is looking into various measures including but not limited to penalties, disqualification orders and costs from the processor.
