JJ Richards and Sons is being sued over their formal small business contract. According to ACCC or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, eight clauses in the contract are considered unfair. Why? It creates an imbalance between JJ Richards and small businesses. These clauses don’t reasonably protect JJ Richards and cause significant financial detriment to small businesses. JJ Richards charges customers for services not rendered. The ACCC is going to court for the first time over the new laws to help small businesses.
